A Woman's Worth

Updated: Sep 2, 2019

An elderly woman listened attentively as a younger woman described how her life had been filled with mistakes, turmoil, and unimaginable events that caused her pain. The younger woman went on to say she wished she could change some of the horrible things she had said to others and even done to others. The elderly woman never changed her disposition and continued to sit quietly as the woman poured out her heart. After the tears, sighs, and expressing how life had been so unfair to her she shouted, “I feel so unworthy!! “ I feel like as much as I have tried to do right, I have done wrong which makes me so unworthy. The older women gently grasped the woman’s hand and shared her life story. She shared of her struggles to include homelessness, battles with self-doubt, and making wrong decisions. The older woman said for so many years I felt unworthy. She said for years I never knew my true worth. “I now know my true worth. I now know no matter what awful things I may have done, I am still worthy.” The younger woman listened. She began to know no matter what life had thrown her way, or how she had responded she was still WORTHY.

In life, as women we face trials. We face setbacks, set ups, and even valley experiences. These experiences can potentially cause us to question our worth. Women there should never be a question about your worth. You are worthy of every positive opportunity, and blessing in store for you. You are worthy regardless of what others may say, think, or prejudge about you.

In knowing the worth of myself, I look to what the Word of God says about me. It says I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We are masterpieces (Ephesians 2:10). There are many verses in the Word of God that exquisitely describes your worth. Many can tell you, you are worthy yet you, the woman has to truthfully know your worth. You have to believe there is nothing good or bad, to make you more worthy or less worthy.

If you struggle with your self-worth seek wise counsel in ways to improve the way you feel about yourself. Realize something may have happened in your past, or present day that has caused you to feel unworthy. The road to walking as the worthy woman you were created to be can be a journey. It can be a journey of self-discovery, self-evaluation, and believing you deserve an overflow of blessings.

Always know you are unique, and a true masterpiece

Always know the world is blessed just by your life

Always know you are victorious, beautiful, exquisite, a world changer, and outstanding just by being who you are.

Now, don't ever forget YOU ARE WORTHY!!
